Salon.com article about the Bookmobile

The whole concept of print-on-demand fascinates me. It's not that I wouldn't still want to own first editions, signed books, collectables - but it would increase the chances of my being able to find more books, interesting books... And reading on screen is still not as easy as reading from the printed page.

I try to help out with Distributed Proofreaders occasionally, though not as often as I'd like. And one of these days (months, years...) I will get round to putting a text together for Project Gutenberg; unfortunately the one I'd most like to do, a history of my old college, is not out of copyright for another four or five years.
