(no subject)

At last I have music (having finally sorted out drivers for sound card and found the instructions that tell me which the correct output jack is). These speakers are lousy but they do at least work, just about - the other pair lying around requires power and I am all out of available sockets at this end of the room (by a factor of about ten). And using Winamp on a computer with a bit more available memory causes it not to fall over and wave its legs in the air when presented with a playlist containing 8000+ tracks.

Last night rotwang and I wandered to the cinema on a whim to see Wimbledon. It's a fairly light but nicely done romance, with some fantasy elements (the last ten minutes...). The tennis is, I thought, pretty convincing -- all in all, worth a look.

My Half Man Half Biscuit album has the tracks in the wrong order, disaster! (As in: what's on the CD does not match the data on CDDB nor, more importantly, the sleeve.) At least the sleeve includes the lyrics so I can tell which song is which for those I've not heard before.
