In a fit of "hell, why not?" last night, we went to the Waterfront Bar in Streatham, to their monthly comedy night. The big lure was, of course, Mitch Benn, but Al Pitcher and Chris Martin were also pretty good (unfortunately the compere, Tom Bell, was crap). Mitch played a couple of songs we hadn't heard previously (along with several we had). Oh, and cookwitch? The leather trousers are back...

He's also playing the Banana Cabaret in Balham this Friday and Saturday, but we have other plans for Friday night and it's not possible to pre-book tickets for the Saturday -- whereas the Waterfront does allow you to pre-book, which was handy since we weren't going to get there until some while after the doors opened.

Note for convention organisers: while it may be very useful for ID purposes to have big white signs in front of each guest announcing their names, it doesn't half make it difficult for those of us attempting to take photos (because the large expanse of white confuses camera exposures)
