(no subject)

OK, so I've just had a laptop waved under my nose (which belongs to one of our builders) which is set up with Windows XP Home edition -- in German. He'd prefer that it was set up with Windows in English.

Fiddling around with the few items I could spot involving languages seems to have caused a few things to switch, but not all that many. Is there a nice obvious master place I can say "make it English" and have it take? (The "DE" on the toolbar doesn't appear to be it; I can tell that to use (US) English and have it swap to "EN" but that doesn't seem to affect most of Windows.)

There is a recovery CD with it but it looks like that'll just get it all into German again...

Clues, anyone? I don't really have a lot of time to fiddle with it, so if there _is_ a quick and easy option, great -- otherwise I'll send him off with an XP Home OEM disk or something. (He does seem to have some data on there which he'd presumably like to keep.)
