Low-carb profiteroles

OK, so the recipe in Eades & Eades for Magic Rolls, my current favourite low-carb bread-alike, is basically slightly modified choux pastry -- you know, the same sort of thing you make profiteroles out of. So it occurred to me to wonder whether one could, in fact, make low-carb profiteroles...
Yes, you can.Collapse )

From culinary artistry to fabric artistry --

-- but not mine, obviously; those of you who know me well are probably aware that my skill with needle and thread extends to sewing on buttons and not much further.

The same is not true of some of my friends, notably Ferret. She's an amazing quilter, and has her first exhibition on in London at the moment; she was kind enough to invite me to the opening earlier this month, where I took some photos (there will be some better captions on them at some point). Any of you who are interested in fabric art should go and take a look. The show's open Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at the Dissenters' Gallery at Kensal Green Cemetery, and it runs until 7th April.
