I have successfully battled the demons of stupidity Central London, and have returned victorious, clutching my main Christmas present from rotwang along with venison sausages, dried mango and cheese. Lots and lots of cheese.

New Oxford St was at least fairly simple as all I had to do was find the shop which had my present on hold for me, pay for it and leave again. Borough Market, my second stop, was quieter than I've ever seen it; I think a lot of people had gone earlier in the day and possibly others hadn't realised they were open (they usually open Friday and Saturday only). Venison sausages: check; dried mango: check; Neal's Yard Dairy: check; mulled ale before I headed back: ooh, definitely check. ;)
