Really annoying telemarketers

Telemarketer: "Good morning -- the Managing Director if he's in, please."
bibliogirl: (tone of voice drops a few degrees) "You're speaking to her. How may I help?"
Phone: *disconnects*

What is it with these idiots? (This is by no means the first time that I've had such a call.) What product can they possibly be selling which they believe will appeal only to men?

    Anyone know how to turn off LJ's new "feed" style friends pages? Do not want. I find my existing 25-entries-per-page to be much more manageable.
