Would anyone care to recommend a broadband supplier?

-- for my not-too-technical parents. Reliability is vital; speed rather less so, since they're a fair way from the exchange and probably wouldn't be able to get the highest speeds anyhow (the BT website suggests they might be able to get 3Mb, the Tiscali site suggests probably 1Mb, but anything's going to be better than 56k dialup).

A provider that doesn't hamstring you in terms of connecting to external SMTP servers would be a good plan, since they'll probably want to use an existing email address (under one of their, or one of my, domains) and the easiest way of doing that is probably to have them send outbound mail through my server rather than trying to get the provider to let them do it that way.

I can't imagine them really getting into the realms of hitting usage caps or anything like that.
