1 small head of cabbage, finely shredded
1 tin chopped tomatoes, drained
1 packet halloumi, cut into 1cm cubes
2 green chilies
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp red chili powder
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
Put the cabbage, oil, chilis, chili powder, tomatoes and turmeric in a saucepan. Cook until the cabbage is wilted and soft (10 minutes or so).
Meanwhile, toss the halloumi cubes in a little flour (if you're most people) or a little soy protein powder (if you're me). Fry them in a little more oil for a few minutes until they start to take some colour.
Add the halloumi to the cabbage mixture and cook for another three to five minutes to combine the flavours. Serve as a side dish or a veggie main dish; it's very yummy. You can vary the amount of chili according to taste.
