Adventures in lunching

Since I didn't need anything else from the supermarket over the road this lunchtime, I decided to obtain my lunch from the Korean shop a couple of doors down from it.

Korean sushi lacks some of the flavour of the Japanese variety (and the stuff they sell in this shop comes in two varieties, veggie or beef; while I've had Japanese beef sashimi, I've never seen them do beef sushi). It is, however, considerably cheaper (2.80 GBP for about twenty pieces). The shop has also started doing Korean cakes (fairly recently, I think) from a local bakery. The ones I tried were somewhat Chinese, stuffed with red bean paste, but softer and less stodgy than the Chinese equivalents.

I ought really to know better than to try some of the random small cans of interesting beverage by now. The 'rice beverage' is OK, I've had it before, but the 'premium coffee' in a tin was decidedly odd. It wasn't until I got to the bottom of the (smallish) can that I realised I'd picked up hazelnut coffee instead of plain, which explains the weird flavour...
